The 32-bit edition of SQL Server R2 can be installed to the Windows on Windows (WOW64) 32-bit subsystem of a 64-bit server. v SQL Server 2008 R2 is not supported on Windows Server 2008 Server Core with SP2 or Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Core installations.
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Workgroup Edition is a data storage, management, and reporting platform for remote offices or branch locations. It includes the core database functionality of SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard but lacks support for data warehousing, data mining, analysis services, and other advanced functionality, such as failover clustering and certain security, integration, and reporting services.
